It's hard being silent
When my mouth wants to move
When my heart feels compelled
When my mind keeps screaming
But I haven't made a sound.
It's easy being quiet
When my eyes speak for me
When you can read my thoughts
When I have nothing to say
So I'll keep myself in check.
It's hard being honest
When it's easier to lie
When you won't listen
When the truth is hidden
But I guess I'm doing my best.
